Welcome! We at Footprint App, Inc. designed and built the Footprint App, which is a Service intended for use as is. Our team values the privacy of all our users, and we know that you also care about your privacy, the privacy of your organization and its members and employees, and the privacy of your classroom and students. We have created this Privacy Policy to explain the information that we collect from our users and how and when we disclose or use it. By accessing or using the Footprint App and the content made available by Footprint, App Inc., you are consenting to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service and we will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. By consenting to our Privacy Policy, you also agree to our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible via the Footprint website and mobile application.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

For a better experience with our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including name, email address, mailing address, location information, and phone number. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

  • LOG DATA

In the case of an error that occurs within the app, whenever you use our Service, we collect data and information through third-party services and via your mobile device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, manufacturer, and model, and operating system version, as well as the time, date, and configuration of the app when utilizing our Service. We use this information to help ensure that our Services function properly.

These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.   • OTHER USES

  • Connect your profile with that of friends so that you can compete against each other or create community groups, should you agree to this in your settings;

  • Decide which ads to show you and notify our partners of their ad performance;

  • Identify your location to customize community features or to automatically log travel entries into your profile, should you agree to share your location in your settings;

  • Conduct analytics on who is using Footprint and what they are doing in order to will help improve Footprint App and diagnose what features are or are not meeting the needs of our users;

  • Facilitate purchases in Footprint that you buy from partners or merchants, wherein we share the information necessary for you to make the purchase, such as your payment information, with the privacy policies of these merchants applying to those purchases;

  • Send you updates and news by email;

  • Send you updates by push notification, should you agree to this in your settings; or

  • Assist law enforcement or government agencies if we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, or Footprint App, Inc.

III. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

Your information may be disclosed:

  • To our affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;

  • To our third-parties who provide services such as website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, information technology and related infrastructure provision, customer service, email delivery, auditing, and other services;

  • Within our leaderboard feature, which makes certain aspects of your individual information available for other application users, but that which does not go beyond your name and aggregated metrics, should you agree to this in your settings;

  • As we believe to be necessary or appropriate, under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence: (a) to comply with legal process; (b) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (c) to enforce our terms and conditions; (d) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (e) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (f) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

We may also further share your information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify you. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of our Services or share a hashed version of your email address to facilitate customized ad campaigns on other platforms.

V. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, and/or used. 

Individuals within the EU who use our Service also have the right to make a complaint to a government supervisory authority. By accessing or using the Footprint App and the content made available by Footprint, App Inc., you authorize the collection, use, storage, and sharing of your information outside of the European Union and as it pertains to this Privacy Policy.

V. CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT COMPLIANCE

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties not included in this Privacy Policy without your consent.

VII. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case that we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete their data and account from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions to remove their data and account.

VIII. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change or modify our Privacy Policy which may be updated from time to time. We ask that you refer to the Privacy Policy periodically and on a continuing basis so that you understand our current privacy practices. We will notify you when these updates occur by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. If substantial changes are implemented to the Privacy Policy, a notification to view updates will be provided within our application. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page, and as an ongoing user of Footprint, you will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.

By accessing or using the Footprint website, services, software, applications, and/or content made available by Footprint, App Inc., you are consenting to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Footprint App reserves the right to delete your information at any time and for any reason, such as technical needs, legal concerns, abuse prevention, removal of idle accounts, data loss, or any other reason.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
